Angry Stereo speakers whine need help

My stereo on my 2.7s works fine at rest but when the car moves i get a noise from the speakers and sometimes the stereo cuts out but if I slow down its fine!!!!! I have checked all the connections to the stereo and as a precaution changed all the wiring joints. I am at a wits end. Is it a ground? and where do i look any help would be greatly appreciated

Regards

Adrian

Does the whine vary with engine speed?

are you running a amp or deck power? Ground could be a culprit.

If you are not running an amp and you are cutting out at speed are you turning the stereo loud to compensate for road noise? deck may be getting to hot.

No amp but the whine has become intermittant and only occurs when I accelerate. I am going to check the ground and will let you know if it solves the problem

While you are troubleshooting ... monitor your system Voltage for a ride or two and check it when the audio trouble shows up! Sounds like alternator-induced noise to me. A flakey Voltage regulator could be sending out distress signals ...

maybe it is only audible during acceleration. Is your power wire running straight to the battery or thru cars electrical system. dedicated ground wire and hot might help.
