I prefer the 3M #8008 Black Weatherstripping Adhesive to the #8001 Yellow. The one ounce tubes carded for general use [Hobby Lobby] seem to be the same product as in #8008 five-ounce tubes.

The Permatex Black Rubber Sealant is also good. Freshly applied excess, squeezed out, or strings, can be removed with Brakleen and a paper towel.

I've used the 3M spray adhesive with more success. First turn the felt piece to the side you want to adhere and spray throughly. For the body side, spray into a paper cup and use a small arts type paint brush to paint it on the area. It flows very easy. Then wait 5-10 minutes until it is tacky then carefully place in the correct areas. It dries relatively clear and any material left can be gently "rubbed" away.
