Clutch adjustment???

I notice on my '81 SC, when cold (@ cold high idle), if I don't blip the throttle and the RPM's sink to much, my clutch makes kind of a whirring noise and seems like it's slipping. It's not really a metal on metal noise, and if I get the RPM's back up it's all good. Is this just an adjustment needed? I know the clutch was replaced, not positive about how many miles ago however.

Cheers,
Todd

Cool clutch noise.........

It may be transmission noise that you are hearing. The 915 gearboxes are notoriously noisy. If the clutch is holding properly when the rpms are raised, then it is not likely slipping at the lower engine speed. It might be a good idea to check the clutch adjustment to make certain that the installer did not adjust it too tightly.

Hope this helps!
