Ignition trouble

I just got the car back from a tune up (valve adjusting, timing and synchronize the carbs) I got to work and when I tried to start it, it would not start. I checked for spark from the ignition coil and only one spark would come out and that's it. I got a new coil and still the same problem.

I'm not getting spark to the distributor. Does anyone had this problem and how do I solve it?

Thanks

Year/model/engine would help. Carbed makes it sound like it may be old enough to have ignition points in the distributor. If you have points, that would be a good place to start.
