New Key for Locking Wheel Nuts
Help... The previous owner broke the key off in one of the locking nuts of the factory Fuchs. Porsche dealership is telling me they cannot get any new keys cut, and they would have to remove the locking wheels lugs with an impact wrench!! I have the code of the key. I can still turn the lock/remove the one with the broken key, however the other 3 wheels are the problem.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.. |

I once bought a car that had wheel locks, but no key. I took it to a tire shop, and they pulled the wheels off in about 5 seconds! I don't recall if they used an impact wrench or not, but I do recall that it was easy, and when i asked the guy, he said "we do it all the time, piece of cake."
So, maybe stop by your local tire shop and see what they have to say. Brian |
