My numbers match!!!
I was able to determine today that my numbers match on my car!!! Perhaps not a big deal in terms of value on an '81 SC, but definitely puts my mind at ease knowing that the stack of receipts I have are all relevant to the engine in the car.
I was going crazy trying to figure out how to determine if the engine id was in fact for the car. A COA was an option, but I was keeping that as a last resort. The dealer where the car was originally bought was to lazy to write the information in the warranty booklet, but I did have the dealers info. Turns out the dealer has since been bought, but they were nice enough to chase down the information for me simply by providing the VIN. Buying these cars is like beginning a treasure hunt, trying to figure out the cars history based on a stack of papers (if you are lucky enough to get the papers). Cheers, Todd |
its a good thing !
