Sluggish Cruise Control
My old SC came with factory cruise control, and it always did a very good job at holding speed, even up hills, etc. Typically stayed within 1-2 mph. Now, after the car has mostly sat for 6+ years, I notice that the cruise control is really sluggish - does not hold a speed well on hills, and even seems to have difficulty with a slight grade.
Any suggestions? I wondered if perhaps there are some parts in the system/linkage that need lubrication and have been binding up enough that the actuator cannot overcome it, or maybe a small vacuum leak that is reducing actuator power. Engine runs fine, though, and no obvious sign of a vaccum leak anywhere. Any suggestions much appreciated -
