Trans question

I put a new MSD system on my car it is running great real smooth. I noticed my idle is also higher. It went from 950-1100rpms. I like the higher idle b/c I can creep the car along in traffic w/o the use of my throttle. However, if I take it out of gear at a light then go to first even after awhile it is like the gears are still spinning in the trans b/c I get a grind and it never used to do this. I was wondering if my idle is now so high that it could be always spinning my gears but then again that is impossible with my clutch not engauged correct? Maybe the higher idle is just making then spin longer after clutch release and if I waited longer I may not get the grind? Anythoughts....

Sounds like what I had going on before a simple clutch adjustment.

The work-around I created for this for now is that I just dont take my car out of gear at lights but the more I think about it if I waited longer after taking it out of gear the gears would eventually have to stop spinning. I mean my car doesnt pull itself along in nuetral or anything.

Mine would not either, and it really was not far off the correct measurement, but it was just enough to keep the disc spinning.
