911S, Seat Belts and stuff

My '69 911S track car is basically a track car no more. I flogged her rotten at tracks across the southeast for 2.5 years but now all my free time is going into building the RSR. So reality is the 911S has turned her last lap in anger.

So, what to do with a very well built and fast early 911 track car?

Drive it on the street all the time of course. But, thats going to take some mods. First up will be removing the 5 point harnesses and harness bar and reinstalling regular seat belts.

The belts that came out of the car are long gone, plus they were not the automatic retracting kind (what do you call that?) and I want a more modern type setup.

So, any suggestions on where to go for some seat belts that will bolt in?

Once the RSR is totally done, I will be doing a bunch more to the 911S to make more of a street focused machine. Its still going to be a hotrod, but I will remove the Corbeau GT8 seats and install factory style sport seats. Its also going to get a new headliner, dash top and a complete glass out paint job.

I am even thinking of removing the Supertec 2.5L hotrod engine and perhaps having Henry rebuild the original 2.0 S engine that came in the car. Perhaps bump it to 2.2, raise the compression and twin plug it?

I want to make this car REALLY nice. In a few years I will probably sell it and would like to get a decent price. Would an early S car with nifty hotrod mods but all original parts included bring decent money?

I like the Schroth harness belts. They are DOT approved.

thats exactly what I was looking for... THANKS!

My car does not have stock seats, but the they do have a means of mounting the receiver to the side of the seat and the seats are bolted to the car floor in such a manner that they would NEVER come loose. I wonder if the setup for stock seats would work best or if I should go with the other one. I will give them a call.

the more you hot rod the car the less $$ return you will get on a relative basis

If your selling, dont spend any money thinking you will get it back. You will regret selling in IMHO
