Bottom panel holes: why?
Hi all,
just something I wondered for sometime: what is the reason for the holes in the bottom body panels? In each hole, there is a lip that just not closes it. It's the same hole type as one finds in the seat buckets. Is this for venting/drainage or is it the result of the manufacturing proces? Should I close them up with something/weld them shut or?? Thanks as always Dennis |

You're probably not getting any answers becasue it's not clear what part of the car you're asking about. A picture would help clarify...

I think they were there for the spot welding tools to be able to access what they needed during production.
