				Blower motor woes

Does anyone have any ideas about how to stop my fresh air blower motor from squeeking! It's drivin' me friggin' nuts. I used to just spray WD-40 on the motor in my 2002 ,but, this is different because it is a fresh air duct and my fresh air will smell like. . . well WD-40! I am at present tearing down the motor to see whats going on. It looks like the brushes are fine and everything looks normal except there is a little play along the motor shaft. I see what appears to be a couple little rubber-like washers or spacer between the bushing and clip. Could there be one missing? And on the same note. . . I have noticed that the heater controls don't seem to operate any of the vents on the drivers side. . . To my amazement I found that one of the cable actuated "flapper valves" was MISSING! Oh well, guess I'll have to fabricate something. Anyway, any imput would be nice. leland Pate ____79 SC targa | ||

IF I REMEMBER RIGHT, THE DRUM LIKE FAN IS FRAGILE AND NEEDS TO BE TRUE ON THE SHAFT AND NOT AT ALL BENT BECAUSE IF MAY RUB IN THE HOUSING WHEN INSTALLED. WHEN THE MOTOR AND FAN AND HOUSING ARE INSTALLED BACK INTO THE CAR, EVERTHING GETS PUSHED AROUND AND THE HOUSING MAY BEND INTO THE FAN.IT'S TRIAL AND ERROR.
