Body Shop Recommendations in Houston, TX

Can anyone recommend a good body shop in the Houston area? If they have a Celette unibody alignment bench, that would be a big plus for me.

My 77 911 Targa that I've had for 25 years was rear-ended at a stop light yesterday by a Ford 250 van. My car lost. Damage is extensive: both rear quarter panels are buckled forward into the wheel wells, the targa glass is popped-out (but not broken), I'm sure the rear motor mounts have been displaced, and so forth. No pictures yet. The car is at the towing company's yard. I'm going to go there today and do some more looking and take pictures. If they let me in on a Sunday.

That car is a part of who I am. If this were collision damage that was my fault, I'm sure my insurance company would "total" the car. However, since the other party admitted fault, I think he, and his insurance company, are liable to restore my car to it's pre-existing condition, regardless of cost. If I'm going to speculate, there's well over $10K of damage if it's repaired correctly.

Thanks for any recommendations.

Regards,
Ed

Ed,
I've heard good things about Eurocar-werks in Bellaire (713-661-6428), but have no personal experience with them.

I am in Houston also.

Independent Paint and Body might be worth a try.

And the unpleasant pictures:

And, what it used to be (a little old, this is pre-duck tail):

Ed -- Casari's Paint & Body is currently doing some major work on my long hood 911 (flares & full repaint). Jorge has worked on my 911's over the last 30 yrs and does really good work. Also did MAJOR collsion repair ($12K+ in repairs)on my Suburban back in '03 or '04 and it still (after 20K+ miles) looks and drives great. He's on Windfern in NW Hou. He's also been a PCA advertiser for prob 30yrs.

Good luck with the repairs. Hope all comes out well.
