VDO Speedo Repair??

After filling my tank and pushing in the button for the trip odometer I noticed that while the speedometer was working, the odometer wasn't. Any suggestions for repair facilities in the mid-Atlantic area?

I haven’t tried this exact fix and my belief is that prying up the lip on the black aluminum ring for the faceplate is a challenge. The aluminum is very thin & it’s easy to ~tear it as you try to pry it up.

This repair is discussed in detail in Wayne's book, "101 Projects for Your 911". Pages 209 and 210. It is described as a somewhat difficult repair. Were I you, I'd send it to No. Hollywood Speedometer and let them do it. Whether you decide to attmept it or not you should have the book.

Had the exact same problem you did, tab came to $110.00. Still need to pick it up--they did it in one day and had lots of shipments outside so I know they do out of state work. Jack

Pelican parts can do the repairs. They did mine.
