Wow, used 2007 911 Turbo in San Diego

I can't belive someoen would already tradde this car in. It is a 2007 911 Turbo with 47 miles and is at Mercedes-Benz San Diego for $144k. Could this be a case of the wife wanted an SL55 instead of the 911?

I must be missing something. Why would anyone buy it?? I just went to the Porsche site and built my turbo. I started at $122K, and slapped all sorts of options on it just to jack up the price. With Tiptronic, camposite brakes, special paint, leather this and carbon that, I hit $146K.

Why would I buy used for a few thou less?

Seems to me that if you want a NEW car, buy a NEW car for essentially the same price.

I think it is becasue there is a waiting list. Just because you can price it for that does not actually mean the car is available.

Gotcha...For my 145K I might just wait! But I guess there are those who need instant gratification, and for whom dropping 145K is like buying a beer....

Or his wife came home and saw it sitting in the garage under the car cover. Thinking it was a gift for her, she took a peek under the cover and about killed him after she realized it wasn't the Mercades she was expecting. Not to mention that he wasn't going to let her drive/wreck it.
So he had to return it, but the Porsche dealership wouldn't give him his money back, so he traded it in a the Mercades dealership for some piece of crap his wife liked and some store credit.
Well that's my idea anyway.

over here you would be waiting at least 9 months for a turbo if you bought one new tomorrow...

It's all a game!

It is a game that all the dealers play. We here in Dallas have an 18 month wait list and we have already sold 3 pre-owned Turbos for 15,000.00 over sticker.
Just b/c it is used does not mean it is tainted or ruined. We have a lot of people that buy them for the quick flip and just want to drive one for a couple of days. Like I said it is all a game!!
