Where could I find an exhaust like this?
Hi guys,
Could anyone tell me where I could find an exhaust like this for my 68 T? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1154558615.jpg Or would I be best served by modifying a Dansk dual pipe sport muffler (adding a third exhaust pipe on the side) ? Cheers, Nick. http://nicolashunziker.com |
i am sure ben at mk can make one, but it will not have the exact shape of the oe "bananna". We've modified dansk and oe units to look like this in the past. pm me at info@tremotorsports.com for details and pricing

Why do you want that?

There are a few triple outs runnng around here in the Bay Area. The fabricator makes them from brand new one out Dansks and includes caps. He has done two styles, pipes that exit under the license panel and pipes that exit under the bumper guards. They sound great and will hopefully go into full production soon.

my brother does muffler conversions
he does triple outlet conversions, you provide a brand new dansk or other kind and we do the conversion. samples cars that has his mufflers http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1154562811.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1154562896.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1154562924.jpg |
Paul,
the exhaust will give you the option of having a 'loud' and 'silent' setting, depending on which caps are in place. jtkkz, thanks for the info. I'll get in touch with your brother. Cheers, Nick. -- http://nicolashunziker.com |
Don't do it, that has to be one of the uglist 911 exhaust ever
|
Ha ha that's funny Steve... I like the look of it, reminds me of the early 911s with the Rally Kit. It'll go on a short-wheel base 911.

that is a copy of the factory issue sports exhaust. The center pipes would remain capped for normal driving and to/from events. Then during the rally stages, they were allowed to uncap the center 2 and close off the oe side one. Free flow adds some hp

Some pics I had in my computer. I forgot where they can from.

We just finished 3 triple outlet conversions for a customer customer requested stainless dual tips in the middle.... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1158610231.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1158610246.jpg |
Those mufflers are heading to a ceramic coater....

Looks like a great way to address the sound issues at different tracks. I could see capping the straight-thru's for Laguna. Is there any sound dampening in the "rally" configuration?
|
jtkkz,
I emailed and PM'd you but I think my emails keep ending up in your spam folder. When are you making your next batch? What's the cost if I send you an exhaust? Do you prefer a dual exhaust to start the conversion or a single side exhaust? Cheers, n. _ http://nicolashunziker.com |
Very interested in this conversion.
Can you start out with a Dansk ss sport muffler that has the two outlets under the license pannel? That is what I have and I could never get Dansk to tell me if it has the same internals as a factory Leistritz (sp) muffler. Thanks, Clint |
I'm not sure I really understand how or why you can see through it in that one picture.
Does anyone have a flow diagram or cut-away illustration of that exhaust part/muffler? |
Where could I find an exhaust like this?
Check with a company called Rebel Racing. They have them and others. Engine Just happened to run across their web site but don't have any history with them. Good luck!
