Rear ride height adjustment 80' 911SC
I need a explanation on how the two piece trailing arms work on my 80' SC. (They are the type that consist of two plates joined by concentric bolts). I want to raise the rear of the car by about 1/2" and it looks like the way to do this is by small adjustments to the torsion bar (using combination of inner and outer spline changes), and then fine tune with the adjustment on the trailing arm. Is this correct?? Any other suggestions to gain that 1/2" ??

Did you get your adjustment accomplished? I think you should have been able to get that much adjusment with the spring plate 'fine' adjustment. My Sway-A-Way plates have at least that much adjustment up or down from the 'center' position.

Yes, I did Warren. Since I originally posted this inquiry I read a great deal on the subject. I removed the spring paltes and torsion bars completely, installed new inner and outer bushings, reset the torsion bars so the 'fine' adjustment on the spring plates is in the center. Ride height is just what I wanted. Now, I still want to do the from bushings....Tom.
