It is finally running...kinda
OK I replaced the FD and the cars started right up. I finished up some of the details and decided it was time to take it out for a spin. I went 1.7 miles and lost power, it starts and idles but would not move itself. I let it sit for an hour and went back started it and it drove home with low power. I am thinking fuel filter? Any other ideas? I have noticed that when I "blip" the throttle that is does not seem to rev very high (2500 rpms). I have to slowly push the throttle down to slowly rev.
Thanks Paul |
Sure sounds like fuel starvation.

It is starving for fuel, I can push the throttle and put my hand in the air box and the flap is pulled way up but there is no change in rpms...any thoughts?

screen at the bottom gas tank was gummed up and used to cause me the same issue.
Took out the gas level sensor and poked a hole in the screen. 5 years later...no problem. Chris 73 911 E |
I will check that tonight, thanks.
