Help head liner question

I am putting in my head liner and cant figure out what the little clips do or go can some one help ? I did down load a great bulletin on how to but it does not tell me were the clips go . My headliner was ripped out ( 930 sunroof ) before I bought it.

The little clips go at the top of the front and rear windshields. The provide extra grip, beyond that provided by the glue at that location. I assume its because of the stress of installing the glass.

There is an article about how to install a headliner in the book 101 Projects for Porsche 911. I believe that's close to the title.

I used clips all over. Buy 2 plastic boxes from Staples. To attach the area opened by the roof etc. Before I did the rear corners everything else was set up for it.

I did the install in sections waiting a day before going at it again. I made it tight. But not too tight around the dome light areas or it'll rip when you install the fixtures.

I used Staples "binder clips", small, 3/4"

The clips I was referig to are small metal clips with Porsche Part numbers that are used to hold the liner in place. Not the binder clips that people use while gluing it in.

yes.. I had 2 types used.. get extra extra ones.

Just ripped out my headliner those little clips were across the top of the front and rear glass. I removed five evenly spaced on each.
All I can say is read up on install and take your time. good luck!
