I love my wife

My wife Julie said something last night that only confirmed one of the many reasons that I love her. Now, keep in mind, I just got my '87 911 out of the shop after spending thousands on a top-end rebuild. And I have been thinking about getting a newer 911 (993 or 997) for a while. Plus, we have a new born and Julie is probably going to quit work for good next year. Anyway, we were driving home and I brought up the fact that the Lexus (her car) was getting kinda old and I asked her if she would like to replace it. I mentioned a Lexus SUV, Mercedes E series, etc. She then said that she didn't need a $50-60k car and that she would rather spend less on a new vehicle, like a Nissan Pathfinder, and that I should go and get the 911 that I've been wanting!

Did I marry a great woman or what?

Thats great Clay. Now that your top end is done you can just let me have your car since you won't be needing it any longer

Hah! That's the oldest trick in the book! Right after you get your Porsche you'll find out what she really wants.

Yep, my wife said after I got my car that she was ready to upgrade her wedding ring.

Not exactly the kind of upgrades I was hoping for.

Wow Clay, your wife is a sweetie! I would have told you to drive the pathfinder and I would take the refurbished 911 as my driver!

One more reason that my husband deserves hazard pay for putting up with me...

Yep, seen that set-up often...In my case, it turned into a guest house & swimming pool
But then again, she's wanting to sell the supercharged G35 I built up for her in favor of a 993...What a gal!

You should get her to downsize to a vehicle that gets good gas mileage and you would have even more to spend!

After a while they all look at their frends diamonds and don't forget, even though they are very cool wifes, they are women and will "need" the bling sooner or later. When that happens, Give me a call. I am the bling king.

Clay,

Before rushing out to buy the new 997 you'd best calculate how much you'll be spending in diapers. Newborns are expensive noisy critters that always want something fixed or added.

Wait! That sounds like my Porsche!

I agree! I know that it has already happened to some degree with local Pelicans, but I would be all for a bigger network!

Of course I don't have much to offer really.

Cheap wine for cheap?
