				AFM on '89 Carrera

Does anyone know if the AFM on an '89 Carrera can be checked, cleaned or adjusted? Or is the only way to fix one to replace it with a new or used one?

				Thanks! Eddie |

The AFM is very adjustable. But are we talking about a 3.2 or 3.6 and what do you want it to do or not to do?

I am really interested in checking it and cleaning it, not really adjusting. I have some running and idle problems, and the AFM is the last remaining suspect.

Cleaning and inspecting will do nothing for running and idling problems. But from a psychological stand point, why not if it makes you feel better.

Eddie, before you buy a new AFM, shoot me an e-mail, there are some things that can be done to save "bad" AFMs. BTDT.
