Seats

Is it possible to switch the bottom seat upholstery from one side to the other in an SC? My driver's side is getting a little soggy, and if I could switch the bottom part of the drivrs side to the passengers side, I could live with that (no one ever really sits in th passenger seat).

I don't want to just move the entier seats, because the controls are then on the wrong sides.

I konw an upholstery shop could do it, but
i don't want to spend any money, its not that big of a deal, but I would do it if I could do it myself for nothing.

Jim:

I almost agree with you for not switching the entire seat, but it is such a simple job, and you will get used to the placement of the controls, so why not do it?

I switched mine, since I'm mostly by myself going and coming from the track, and the driver's side (now on the passenger side) was wearing at the outside welt. The seats are completely interchangeable, left to right, though you will have the controls on the "wrong" side. But just think, you got used to the controls on this side when you bought the car, and you CAN get used to the controls on the other side. It might take a few weeks, but soon it will be like they were always there.....Andras
