Camber

I put 15mm spacers on the rear wheels. I am running 225/50-16 tires. When I took it for a test drive it did not feel right. When I looked at the drivers rear wheel it was evident that it had rubbed. When I stand behind the car I can see that the drivers rear wheel is angled out at the top, the other side looks OK. I lifted the car by it's suspension on the driver's t side. Could I have thrown the camber adjustment off by doing that?

No, unless you loosen all of the bolts on the rear trailing arms you can't adjust anything. Whenever you lift a car the suspension will droop while in the air.
Bounce the rear end a few times and see if that settles it.
Are the lug nuts tight?

Lug nuts are tight. I just pulled to the end of the driveway and the wheel is moving back and forth like it is ready to fall off. Any ideas!

Get her jacked back up and take a look. I know it's getting close to dark but DO NOT drive it until you figure what's wrong. Can you get some pictures of the wheel and the suspension? I may be able to see what's wrong.

I assume the spacers simply slide over the wheel studs?
How many turns of the lugnuts did you get? You shouldn't have messed anything up just by putting spacers on.

What a mess, now the wheel will not come off the studs due to the wobble. I am leaving this for tomorrow.

Where in Ohio are you? Lots of Pelicans probably in the vicinity to help you out tomorrow. Kinda of a drive for me, though.
Oh, and what year 911 do you have?

I am in Hudson, Southeast Cleveland. I just bought the car, 84 Carerra. During the 80s, when I was too young to afford one, the SCs and Carerras were the cars I envied. Now that I have one I have been doing little upgrades. Unfortunately, I am learning the hard way! I need to pick up a manual tomorrow.

I think you guys are right that the spacer may be causing the wheel misalignment. Problem is now the wheel is cross threaded on the studs and will not budge. I'll tackle it again tomorrow after work.
