Oil question

What type of oil does the dealer use? I was reviewing the records of the car I'm getting and saw the dealer charge of $46 per qt. Unobtainium?

Must be special Land Rover oil. :-)

AFAIK, Porsche dealers should be installing Mobil 1.

IS there another charge fo labor? Maybe it covers that. If there is a labor charge too, then you've been robbed.

Call the Genl Mgr. and complain if the Service Mgr. can't explain. After that, take it to Land Rover itself.

It's the car I am picking up. The PO paid for it. I couldn't believe oil was $46 a qt. I talked to my mechanic and he uses Mobil 1 and was shocked at seeing the charge for the oil.

I was looking for a new career and I think I found it. Changing oil sounds easy and so does getting those rich people to open their wallet wide for said oil change.

Well, now you know where not to get it serviced.

You can also send the PO a bottle of wine. It'll be cheaper than the oil.

Hey....what about the $38 / liter brake fluid ????

Reason I hate *any* dealer service work........

like "miscellaneous fluids" charges, etc....
