leak down question please??
 

after i take my engine out in two weeks i planned on taking the intake and fuel components off of it leaving just the long block...can the leak down be performed at this time if not at what point do i stop....or is the performance check all interior ?? please help me understand

The leak down should be performed on a warm engine. So do the test before you pull the motor(ASSUMING THE MOTOR RUNS). I dont't think it will tell you much on a nonrunning engine.
