How heavy is a 911 Mag. alloy case ?

I will maby ship a 911 magnesium alloy case, and i need to know heavy is. We are only taking the two case parts, no crank ect.

I shipped mine to a macine shop over the summer, I don't remember the exact weight, maybe some where around 50lbs, not much more anyway. I do think I remember it costing somewhere between 40 - 50$ UPS from east to west coast USA. Sorry this may not help much.

Put a couple of 2x4's on your bathroom scale and weigh it. After you package it UPS is going to weigh it anyway.

Thanks for your replyes.

The thing is that i havent dismantled the engine. I am going to ship the case to the US so i needed the aproximate weight to calculate the shipping costs.
