The length of the studs will vary depending on whether you have any accessories attached at that point (e.g., smog pump). I have two of the longer ones (w/ smog pump) if you'll pay for shipping. They are too long, however, and will not work without the smog pump bracket. Send me a PM if the studs will work for you.

The correct studs (if you are not putting back on the smog pump bracket) are BM6x42 (6mm x 42 mm long); Porsche Part no.: 900.061.092.02. The 1.25" length listed above is too short for the extended bosses on the version of the chain cover shown in your posted image, the 42 mm or about 1.65" length is required.

I stand corrected. You're right about the stud size (and pitch) for the smog pump mount style cover plate. It appears one needs about a 50mm long M8 x 1.25 stud for the smog pumpcover plate. The 6mm (x1mm pitch) x 42 mm stud I listed is used for the early cars when they receive the new left side chain case cover for updating to Carrera pressure fed tensioners. |
