Porsche Crest Fuse Locations 89 911 Carrera

I have an 89 911 and do not know what fuse goes to what. I am having an eLeftrical problem with my high beams (don't work) and need to trace the wires but don't have a starting point. Also the Left rear running lights are out. All bulbs are in good shape. Can anyone help out with this....Thanks a bunch.

You really need to get a Bentley manual if you don't have the original placard on you fuse box. Without going down to my car, get a flashlight and look at the fuses to see which ones are blown and replace. Try swapping the bulbs also, since those bulbs don't have a long life span in the moisture laded environment the tail lights have. The high beams might be on a relay also and not a fuse. (My brother borrowed my manual! )

Are you sure the turn signal stalk switch isn't at fault? Do a search, there is quite a bit of info regarding high beam problems related to the stalk switch. There is also an easy fix by bending the contacts to restore their normal position.

edit: I just noticed this was your first post. Welcome aboard! This place will have all the answers you could possibly need for your car.

The running light could be a corrosion issue. There is a brass contact that might need a quick clean. That was a problem with one of mine. Just take the lense (2 screws) & you will see it.

Check this thread and then do a search on headlight relays. You should consider installing relays to route the current from the battery to the headlights instead of through the stalk switch.
