Anyone use Eastman's antirust products instead of POR?
I hear alot about POR on the forum. Just checked out Eastman's site and they have a bunch of products. Anyone used them?

i've used the eastwood paint on a few parts. i tried the spray-can version on my mag. 915 case and fan housing. my car is not done yet so i can't comment on the longevity. it is a thick paint and looks good. i've used por before and the eastwood stuff seems to be very similar. the big difference is that por is not good with UV light - the eastwood stuff is.

I've been using Eastwood's "Rust Encapsulator" product for years and have been extremely satisfied with the results. I keep my restored cars forever (going on 14 years with my 914) and can attest to the longevity Eastwood's product against rust returning. It comes in semigloss black, which is perfect for the underbody and inside doors as a finish coat.

I've used both, but unlike Daryl haven't kept a car that long to see which holds up best. I like the Eastwood product in particular because it's available as an aerosol. Another product that seems to work pretty well is Rustbullet (www.rustbullet.com I think). I has advantages over the POR15 in that it doesn't require as much prep and is UV resistant.
