Pushing Blue!
Recently, My 1986 911 will occasionally push blue exhaust. It is not all the time just every now and then and not very often. Obviously, more noticeable when at an idle. The compression was taken about a month ago and read 130 (two were at 135 and 125) for all cylinders. I recently added some oil , about 1 litre as it was down. I did not know what weight of oil to add as the last service was completed prior to my purchase about 1000 miles from where I live. I added a litre of Mobile 1 weight 5W30. Did I add to light an oil??? Could this be the cause of the occasional blue smoking?? I dread the thought and expense of an engine rebuild!

Does it smoke after start up immediately following a coule of days or week of not being driven? If so, I believe most people here would tell you not to worry. Also if you are using more than one quart per 800-1000 miles, then you may have an issue.
I am sure many more people will respond.

It will occasionally smoke if left undriven but not very often. I am more concerned with the occasional instance where it will smoke and then just stop smoking. During the occasions when it is smoking I notice it when I am at a stop light. It may smoke for four or five lights then just stop smoking.
