rear quarter pop-out windows

hello all,

i love the look of the rear quarter pop-out windows on the older cars. i think i've seen them mostly on 72-76, i'm really not sure on the years, but do you think these pop-out versions are interchangeable? Would they fit on my 78 930?
Also, is it likely that the factory tints will be different between those years and mine, i just want to make sure they would blend in.

best, paul.

if they're viable, does anyone have a set L and R, for sale?

The popout window will fit and there are numerous and extensive threads about installing them on later cars. Worth doing a search. In short you need to gather the windows, seals, trim pieces and latch. To install them you will need to remove a welded metal piece from the B-pillar to expose the hinge mounting slot. There are a clear and blue tinted windows out there so that will be worth deciding what you want. The blue windows seem to be a bit more rare.

I have two right-hand side windows/frames with clear glass available with hinges. I do not have the lower trim pieces.

ah, thanks for the explanation Gary.

i did a search for pop-out window, but will try a more general search and find these threads. my windows have the blue tint, which i really like. i'm getting some body work done on the rear right fender, so the quarter window is coming out. so i figured i should do the switch at that point.

appreciate the help.

best, paul.
