1969 Targa Windshield Seal

Does anyone have a source for the CORRECT seal between the windshield frame and the Targa top for a 1969 911/912?

The Porsche warehouse is sending out PN 901.565.009.40 which at a quick glance looks right. However the molded corner pieces are about 50% smaller than they are supposed to be. I've ordered a couple from various sources, all getting them from Porsche, all claiming they fit, and they don't come close. They have to be horribly stretched and then it's so thin it either tears or can't actually fill the gaps.

I've looked at a seal for a 70-73 and it is very different. Some have suggested it can be cut to fit, others say there is no way to make that one fit. Any ideas?

I had a perfectly good one on my car but when I sent the car off for restoration but I forgot to tell the guy to save that seal.
