Brake/light grill

I finally found a mesh grill similar to what is on the oil cooler albeit a size or 2 larger. I'm ditching the 70's look fog lights that were old style and stuck out. I don't care about foglights period or I would update to the newer flush mount. My question is should I paint these grills black along with the oil cooler, and should I paint everything behind it flat black so it blends in. Any photshop help would be appreciated.
