Weber throttle shafts
How do youo know if they are loose?
Are we talking about a side to side play or up and down...gripping from the linkage point? Josh

Wiggle test at first, then with the engine running spray carb cleaner on the loosest ones. If the engine speed changes much the shafts need to be rebushed. I'm fighting this on my Zeniths, a bent crossbar ovaled on hole for one of the shafts and the car stumbles at very light throttle. If I put heavy grease around the hole it will drive fine for 10-20 miles until the engine vacuum sucks in all the grease. I'm building a fixture so I can line bore a set of bodies I have and install teflon bushings. Technically they are plain bearings but lay people call them bushings. I asked the experts on a machining forum and the concensus was that teflon would be the best solution here.
