blow-off valve on 87 930
My son has an 87 mod. 930 that has a very loud "click" like metal to metal immediately on starting. It does this one time only. The sound appears to be coming from the top of the engine possible around the blow off valve. On a recieint thread someone mentioned rebulding this valve but after taking it apart there doesn't appear to be anything in there thats rebuildable. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

there is a pad on each end of the valve that deteriorates. maybe just one of yours is gone. kind of a clear rubber flat round gasket.

Thanks, those are missing on both ends. The only thing on the ends are the caps with "o" ring seals.
