forks 88

I understand in mid 88 Porsch did a change on the 911 clutch shift fork pin bearing mechanism. In fact Pelican offers an upgrade kit when it's time to replace the clutch. Anyone have the engine # where this break occurs and what the symptoms are that lead up to or indicate the need for this service?
Thanks,
Michael

Per tech bulletin #4 in "Parts and Technical Reference Catalog 911 Models 74-89"
change was made on production date April 6, 1989 starting with transmission # G5001 1K 03381 or limited slip trans G5001 2K 01159
the bulletin states to convert when performing clutch or transmission repairs. Note that the engine and transmission must be removed and the transmission detached from the engine. It also requires a special tool to ream out the bores where the new bearings go.
Hope this helps
