Matching numbers?

1969 911T. VIN119100243 Engine: 9011061015R

Doe these numbers match up?

Thanks
Scott

Scott,

119100243 Decodes as:
11 = Type 911 group
9 = Model year 1969
1= Engine type T
0 = Body version Porsche coupe
0243 = Sequential number

9011061015R is a casting number and not the engine number. The engine number is located on the main engine casting part that supports the fan housing on the right side. The number is facing to the right. Ti should be of the form: *619xxxx*. Just to the right and slightly forward of the engine number and facing up is the type number. It should be 901/03 or 901/16 unless it is/was a Sportomatic.

The only way to determine “matching numbers” is to pay for the cardex Certificate from PCNA. You can order this from any Porsche Dealer.

Best,
Grady
