Ronin, here is a pic showing the "generic" industrial bearing numbers for the rack. Any bearing supply house will be able to look them up and come up with a replacement. I got mine from a local well stocked NAPA store. I found the exact same bearings in a MSC (industrial supply company) catalog also.

It was worn to the point that it would allow axial movement up and down of the pinion shaft of about 1/8". This allowed the pinion teeth to travel up or down before actually DRIVING the rack back and forth. |
