replacing, rebuilding 1974 2.7L?
I just bought my first porsche last October. I love it, but . . .
I believe I need to replace or rebuild the engine. (It makes a lot of noise, the compression in one cylinder is near zero, and a mechanic told me one of the studs holding the casing together is stripped.) I was told I should put a 3.0 or 3.2 in it. Is this possible? Where should I look to get one? ------------------ David Huffaker 1974 911 2.7L |
Call PartsHeaven in Hayward. They have a few 3.0 / 3.2 engines in stock now. They told me about $5000 inclusive (brain, wire harness and all necessary parts). Talk to either Jeff or Al. I just bought some little parts from them yesterday. I had never been there before and was amazed with what all they have. As a side note, there is going to be a swap meet at their location on June 11.

Thanks for the information. This is going to be an adventure.
