Oil Pressure Sender
Are oil pressure senders #911 606 111 00(1974-77) and 911 606 111 01(1978-83) interchangable? I made an 80 mile trip to my nearest Porsche parts supplier and asked for an oil pressure sender for my '77 911S. When I returned home and compared the new part with the original one, I discovered they had given me the 1978-83 sender.
Will this sender function properly(give accurate readings) or should I return it for the sender with the correct part number? Thanks for your help. |

Seems most benefiscial to carry a part with you big or small. I've been that way several times and everytime when I don't have the part the inevitable occurs. The trip back..,call the dealer and ask?

According to a couple of catalogs I checked, your car's sender is calibrated for 0-150 psi, and the later one you got is calibrated for 0-70 psi.
