Boge vs. Bilstein struts - advantages?
IF you were going to buy a set of used front Carrera struts, would you look for Boge or Bilstein?
I'm talking about the outer stut itself only - not the "shock absorber". I'm wondering if the Boge has any issues like the roll pin thing with the Bilsteins? Is one stronger or lighter than the other? |
Randy:
The one advantage of Bilstein struts is the ability to raise the spindles for better roll center location and restoration of lost travel after lowering. |
Another advantage of the Bilstein is it's upside down design. This loweres unsprung weight a tad.

My Boges allow some play between the insert and strut. What can I do to fix?

Thanks folks.
