Headlight ring won't come off

I am changing out the rubber seals around the headlight caps and I got the driver's side off real easy, but the passenger side is stuck. I can't twist it slightly side to side but it won't lift off. I understand how they mount because I got the driver's side off and back on with no problem. Anyone have any idea why the other one is sticking?

Thanks

Patience and persistence. I had the same problem with mine, although, right.

I suggest blue/green taping the area around the top of the ring to protect the paint. Make sure you are fresh and ready to try again and not agitated by any distractions.

I tried;

1) Slapping against it with the palm of my hand at an even force.
2) Trying to turning the bezel slightly- left/right rotation, since the "catch" is at the top anything to move it and free the age and adhesion of the old rauuber gasket, may work.

Each case will be a little different, but know that it is just the rubber sticking. It WILL COME OFF!! So, don't take a mallet to it.

Keep trying. It will release soon enough.

THANKS. It finally came off. Then I decided to check out how the headlight are changed and ended up taking the whole thing apart. Went back together easy enough but is that a tight fit.
