making key.
I got a blank key but can't find the place who can cut it for me. Before I thought as long as I have the blank key, they can just coppy the cuts from the original key but I was wrong. The nwe machine now aday need a cassette and most places are using it now instead of the older machine.
Does anyone here in OC,SCal, know any particular place can cut it? Thanks. |
try your local hardwar store that does house keys

Any OSH has the system where they just copy your old key.
I have even had keys broken in half that I superglued together that they duplicated for me. RR |
Try a real locksmith that you may find in your local yellow pages. My real lock smith had no trouble.

I just had one made at Loews ( for FREE!!). They tried a bunch of cassettes and finally found one that worked...

I had the same problem. Could not seem to find anyone with the old key cutting machine. Ended up just doing it myself with a couple of small jewlers files.
Later thought about the flea market guy's with the old machines. Perhaps they could do it. |
9dreizig,
wow, I wish you know the casstte number. Goth, wow, yuo are really a handy man. |
It wasn't that tough , took about two minutes, he just jammed the blank into the holes until he found one that fit then grabbed to corresponding cassette.

I will ask they to try that see if they will.
Thanks. |
