Replacing bulbs, no luck with them coming on....
I'm 0/3 today on replacing blown bulbs and then having them turn on.
First, I'll say, that the bulbs were dead when I got the car, and just realized that these bulbs existed last week. The main two are the front and rear hood bulbs. Could it be possible the fuse is blown that makes these bulbs work? The one bulb I know works, but the connections is screwy in the sidemarker. Lastly, I see a listing for a glove compartment bulb, yet I see no bulb anywhere, or even a place for one. Have I lost my mind? |
check for 12V with the light switch on in the bulb socket itself. The outside is ground and the center electrode +12V.

Sean,
The glovebox light should be just above the knob, outside of the box. An interesting place for it, as it gets the light out of the way of all the clutter in the box. ;) Can I say clutter iin this forum? Also, it might be necessary to do a little WD40 thing on the contact points, like I had to do to "see the light." :D |

The engine lid light only comes on with the running lights turned on, at least for my 83. The trunk light I believe should be on any time the hood is open.
