Failed emmision test

Today my 911T 2.0 failed the emission test, they said the car was running to rich.

My question is now: should I take the car to a Porsche shop, and pay them to adjust the Weber Carburetor's, or should I/can I adjust them myself???  :(

If it is just running to rich you can do it yourself, but there is more to emission than just adjusting the carbs. Timing is also an important part of the emission equation. I don't think there was a whole lot of emission equipment on a 911T 2.0, and that for a US version with it stricter emission control requirements.

Carbs aren't all that hard to tune, assuming that they're in good shape. But before you start messing with the adjustments you need to know what you're getting yourself into. Have a look at this post for a detailed explanation of carb tuning: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67957&highlight=bastard s

As ruf-porsche mentioned, timing also comes into play with emissions (you may need to retard timing).

Oh the loose oil cap trick.

If you had fuel injector you can subsitute a bad injector so that one of the cylinder will act as an air pump to dilute the emission coming out of the exhaust.
