Finally pics of my [new] car

I bought this car in May. I looked for about 6 months before I spotted this car on evilbay of all places. The car was in Kansas and I'm an Pa. But the price was so good I took the chance. PPI was done by a Porsche dealer and the mechanic said he would buy it, so my son and I flew to Kansas city on Memorial day weekend, and drove back. I was pleasently suprised with the condition of the car, and have yet to find any skeletons. Oh and the mods have already started ala: Momo prototipo, steve wong chip, and 16x7/16x8s with michelin pilots [not yet installed]. Enjoy

It's an '87 with 123k and no apparent paint work, and I've been over, under, around, and through trying to find any.

Nice car, but check the rear lid. The Carerra script is too low. Should be a couple of inches below the grill.

Sweet... I have an 86. I haven't put a Carrera tail on mine... are you planning on adding one? At first, this was a must have item for me. But now that I've had mine for almost a year without a tail... haven't decided for sure if I'll add one.

The script is mounted with tape. For some reason yours was removed and reapplied. I'm not saying that the car has been painted, but it is too low.

This is where it should be...

There might have been a tail on that deck, and that is why the script is low.

criv911 :

Yep, that is one fine Carrera.

Yes to the duck--Quack!

Good choices on the Prototipo and 7/8 Fuchs.

Now, just get it lowered a little, aligned, and balanced and you are in there!

Okay, you may want to add some manual Porsche Sport Seats too.

Great car.

Script

Looks like my 87. My car has it's script in a location that is not quite factory as well. The window sticker shows script delete option so it was added after it left the factory. I also have original paint. Perhaps this is what happened with yours as well. Nice car and enjoy!

Congrats ! Very nice indeed.

This is how my rear deck lid script read when I bought mine. Removed now. Easily done with a hair dryer and a bit of tooth floss. Cutting out the new tape is a bit tedious though.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. my mod list is quite long as I want it to be an occasional track/autox car. By the way does anyone have 993 heater boxes. Also suspension questions
1. why mix bilstien sports back/hd front?
2. 21/28 a good compromise bar size?
3. polybronze ruin ride?
4. do I need to spend on swaybars with all the above?
I'm going to try to not go too far as I already built a track car and now it's for sale, because I don't have time for it. and the wife won't ride in it

Congrads!

Did you see a significant difference with the Steve Wong chip?
