HeetSheet - Do They Work?
I saw a blurb in the Rennlist this am regarding HeetSheet's web site. (http://www.seinesystems.com/index.htm) Out of curiousity, I visited the site to learn that HeetSheet is a stainless steel add on panel that attaches to the valve cover and reflects heat from the headers. This, the manufacturer notes, lowers the engine temps by as much as 40 degrees.
- Anyone using these. Do they work? Can they harm the engine in any way? - I could not find anything in the Digest archives on this topic. - Chuck |

I have them on my '85. Of course it hasn't gotten hot to be able to tell if they work yet.
Apparently, Heatsheet is supposed to keep the exhaust heat from saturating the heads. Not necessarily getting cooler temperatures. Should help the heads though. Considering my 3.2 is known for wearing valve stems, this sounds like a good idea. Nick '85 Carrera |
