930 dme relay$$
I love this site and the pelican parts catalog. I wish they had a 930 dme relay though, I just forked over $180 to the local P dealer. The regular relay is $40 here on Pelican. I guess someone has to pay for the fancy showroom. ( just *****ing a bit) ps thanks 89911 I am in process of installing the kappas now. Infinity has changed the tweeter to a slightly larger dia. so I am having to do some minor fitting.

I am curious as to whether that relay is a standard DIN 'icecube' relay with SPDT switching circuit, and terminals 85 and 86 for the coil of approx. 75-90 Ohms, and terminals 30, 87, and 87a comprising the 'form C' contacts? Do you have the part number for the relay?

Hi Warren I am have been enjoying reading your posts. You obviously have a very large amount of Porshe knowlege and a whole bunch of technical knowlege. I find your sometimes harsh answers remind me of some old German toolmakers I apprenticed with a long time ago. I have some fond memories of being verbally and physically assaulted for stupid errors.
Back to the 930 relay. The part # 930 617 131 02. Physicaly the box is rectangular, roughly 1"x2"x3". The pins are in loc#s 1,6,7,8,10,11,12,and 13. I tried to order through pelican but I recieved a email telling me it was non stocked item. Hope that's what you were interested in. Gotta go put speakers in tonight, it is supposed to be nice porsche weather here in chicago tommorow. thanks david |

You don't say what year your turbo is but I believe turbo's thru '89 were Cis not DME controlled. My "Parts &Technical Reference Catalog 911 Models 74-89" shows relay P/N
930 617 131 02 to be "Acceleration Enrichment Relay" for an '87-'89 turbo starting with Vin 93HS050773 - before that Vin and '86 turbo uses -01 relay. Charlie '87 Carrera [This message has been edited by Charlie Moore (edited 04-22-2000).] |
