Lowering my 82 911 sc??

Hi there, since i know I have torsion bars, I was wondering which bolt it is that I have to turn the lower the car?? I heard it was a 11mm size bolt, but the problem is I dont want to screw it up and turn something else. Any one have any pictures towards which bolt it is? Also do i turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise to lower the front of the car? You help is appreciated thank you very much

Welcome aboard.
First, do a search here on 'lowering". There have been numerous thread on this subject.
Yes, there is an 11mm bolt that you turn to lower the front of the car. It's located on the end of the torsion bar at the back of the suspension. Clockwise, looking up, will lower the car. You may need to have the car aligned and corner balanced after, if you go very low. You should be able to get around an inch or so from the adjusters. Be sure to try and keep them an even amount on both sides. I suggest you measure the current height so if you get too far you can get back to the starting point.

Oh, and we need to see pictures of new memebr's cars.

Here's your photo of the screw you need to adjust to lower the front. Acess the screw behind the front wheels, near the sway bar. After you turn the screw, bounce the front end and go for a drive, it takes a few miles to settle the suspension. I would adjust the left and right sides the same amount. If you adjust one side more than the other, you will screw up the balance of the car. Do a search for torsion bar or corner balance and you will end up with hours of reading.
