Rocker Shaft Color

I pulled the shaft from #2 exhaust rocker while chasing an oil drip and saw some of the copper color from the bushing on the shaft.

All the contact surfaces felt smooth but I still buffed them up before reinstalling. There was no noticeable looseness in the shaft fit.

Is this color telling me something?

That's not uncommon. If you don't have deep scratches or a loose fit don't worry about it. When you eventually rebuild your engine you can renew these parts.
