Fuel Line installation
On of my "while it's out" projects was to replace the fuel lines on the top of the engine. I Am ready to put re-install the fuel lines and was wondering if I need to put anything on the threads or just leave them dry. I was also wondering how much I should torque the fittings since it will be very difficult to re-tighten them when engine is back in. It seems to me I had to torque them pretty tight when I replaced the fuel filter. Thanks

nothing on the threads - make sure they are clean. They seal on the metal faces of the fittings. Tight, but no where near tight enough to round off the corners of the fittings. Use 6-pt. flare fitting wrenches, if at all possible.

Hey guys,
I just tightened all my fuel line connections. Is there some way to test the connections with the engine out of the car? I was thinking of putting the fuel filter on to close the system and then use the fuel pressure port to pressurize the system somehow. Would that work? I don't want to have to tighten the lines with the engine back in the car. Thanks
